DTCT

History and Overview

The Defense Trade Co-operation Treaty (DTCT) permits the export of certain defence items and services between the United States and the United Kingdom, and the United States and Australia without the requirement of export licenses or other International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) approvals. By simplifying the export process and removing requirements or other ITAR authorizations, this treaty enhances defence trade between the allied countries.

Above all, the DTCT improves interoperability and allows the U.S., UK and Australia to better equip their armed forces with the best technology available in the quickest and most efficient manner. Through the DTCT, Approved Communities of government and private sector groups can receive and transmit technical data, software, equipment items and services that are export controlled by the U.S. Munitions List (USML) under ITAR. Transfer of goods between the Approved Communities can occur without individual government permission, but is subject to recordkeeping requirements.

DTCT Use Cases

Camcode Global recognizes that while the Defense Trade Co-operation Treaty (DTCT) leverages the best knowledge and defence resources from the U.S., UK and Australia, it also creates challenges to properly identify and monitor assets from each country. Our expertise originates from Unique Identification (UID), which identifies items and organizes reporting processes to meet complicated standards. After thorough consultations, we’ll guide you through the creation of a custom UID program that meets essential DTCT reporting requirements and establishes inventory control improvements.

From identification of items transferred to other countries to the creation of an accurate and automatic reporting method, Camcode Global will manage the project from beginning to end. We will develop custom solutions that make asset tracking and reporting easier and more efficient. With Camcode Global’s UID methods, you’ll be certain that your program is DTCT compliant.

In addition to DTCT identification and reporting compliance, a UID program provides added item traceability that a can save time and effort by improving inventory procedures and operational processes.
